Georgia held is annual Dawg Night tonight and it was a huge success. The night started out with Zach Debell committing to the Bulldogs along with Nathan Theus. Debell is still pretty raw and from watching his film I feel once he learns more and grows into his body could be an All-American Tackle. Theus will not enroll until 2012 though. Most people suspect that Nathan's brother John Theus will be committing sometime in the future.
James Wilder was on campus and hung out with Orson Charles most of the night. Wilder is suppose to be going to GT tomorrow but that is now up in the air. Georgia gained a lot of ground with Wilder already and could possibly be in serious consideration after all is said and done.
Georgia offered Geno Smith, Latroy Pittman and C.J Curry tonight all three are top prospects for the 2012 class.
Isaiah Crowell, Travis Blanks, Deion Bonner and Gabe Wright were all seen chatting it up with Jarvis Jones. Something tells me Georgia is just fine when it comes to Carver now.

James Wilder to Arrive in Athens Today
James Wilder Jr. will be arriving in Athens today. Rumors were swirling yesterday that Wilder had committed to Florida. These rumors proved to be false as the email that was sent stating he was committing to Florida was not from Wilder. Many people though still believe that Wilder is a Florida lean. Hopefully this trip to Athens can change his mind.

What can be done about the arrests?
With two more Georgia players being arrested this past week, many people have been starting to ask what can be done? Well lets see, their are a couple ways the Georgia coaching staff could approach this.
One, the Georgia coaching staff could start a zero tolernace policy and kick players off the team for any offense which results in a arrest. Personally, I do not think this is the best approach. Let's just say for instance that AJ Green is arrested for something small. How do you think the fan base and alumni would take Green being dismissed from team? I can tell you, they would most likely ask for Richt's job.
Second, the coaching staff could only recruit choir boys and not even look at players that they think might have a character issue. Well after one recruiting class like this, Georgia would start to drop from being a contender every year in the SEC to the doormat of the SEC. Again what would happen the alumni and fan base would ask for Richt's job.
You can list "solution" after "solution" as to what the coaching staff can do. The fans need to remember that these players are still college students. I myself talked to the police a couple times when I was in school. With twitter, facebook, and the internet in general news in being posted faster and faster. Many times I can find out the news via twitter before it is broadcast any where else.
These players are treated like gods on campus and most of them have been treated this way since high school. I have joked with some of my older friends who talk about when they were in school the players would just be escorted by the police to the coaches office and he would handle it. Nobody from the news would even find out. Most fans never even knew about it. These times though are in the past, now campus police and city police are going to arrest the players and release all information to the media.
With Georgia being a top program year end and year out of course they are going to be under the microscope every year. ESPN and all news stations are going to find out anything that happens. Richt has done a great job with the Georgia program and I would not want anybody else leading our Bulldogs.

Da'Rick Rogers Arrested
Any fan of the Bulldogs will love to hear this, former Calhoun standout and current Tennessee Volunteer, Da'Rick Rogers was arrested last night for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Rogers was at local bar in Knoxville with some other Tennessee football players when the fight broke out and an off duty police officer was assaulted.
The only downside I see to this is that Rogers could very well be suspended for the Georgia game. I know personally I was looking forward to watching Rambo, Williams, or the Hitman welcome Rogers to the college ball.
The fight could be the least of Tennessee's problems.

Gabe Wright Video
Here is an interview with Gabe Wright that was posted on youtube. After watching this video you see that the Bulldogs are in his top two. Wright states that he has wanted to be a Bulldog since he was a sophomore. He states the transfer of Jarvis Jones really helped Georgia in terms of Carver High School. Wright does not see any negatives in Georgia, the only thing he states about Georgia that is negative at all is if Mark Richt and the coaching staff will be back next season. Georgia fans can thank Nick Saban and Kirby Smart for this as I am sure that they are filling all our recruits with these negative thoughts.
Wright states that he believes the "dream team" concept that Coach Richt has been pitching to the recruits and if Georgia can keep the top talent in Georgia from leaving they could be "unstoppable". Gabe Wrigt and Isaiah Crowell will be Bulldogs as long as Georgia can back it up in the field this year.

Bulldogs 64th Best Team in NCAA?
A few days ago Jeremy Fowler of the Orlando Sentinel wrote a blog post stating that Georgia is the 64th best team in the NCAA. A post like this is nothing more than trying to stir the pot and increase the amount of traffic to your site. Besides Fowler, you could not find another reporter or analyst who would rank the Bulldogs this low. Stating that the Bulldogs are the 64th best team and the Volunteer's are the 72nd team is just laughable. Fowler might as well turn in his degree in journalism from Florida and just start his own personal blog. With a post like this real college football fan will never take him seriously. Yes, I do not like Florida at all but they are a top 25 team and I will admit that to anyone.
An interesting fact about his article is that when you look at Georgia's weakness's they pretty much match Florida's:

2. New Defensive Coordinator
3. Leadership on Defense
All three of these "weakness's" are matched by Florida but something tells me that Fowler will have the Gator's at least in the top 15.

Hunter Long is Lucky Number 13
The Long family now has both of its son's wearing the red and black as Hunter Long verbally committed to Georgia. Long was offered Sunday and knew right away that he wanted to be a Bulldog and play college ball with his older brother Austin.

Georgia's Next Offer?
Some people of wondering who could be the next recruit to be offered. One recruit who has been making a splash already this summer is Geno Smith. Smith is 5'11" 160 lb DB out of St. Pius X Catholic HS in Atlanta, GA. Smith has competed in the Atlanta NUC Combine and most recently attended the Mark Richt Camp in Athens. Smith has competed extremely well at both camps and has already been offered by Auburn, Georgia Tech and Louisville, but Georgia is his favorite school.

Watts Dantzler Commits to Georgia
Watts Dantzler just moments ago verbally committed to Georgia. Many fans have speculated that Dantzler has been a silent commit to Georgia for some time. As of now though it is official, Dantzler becomes the 12th recruit to commit to Georgia. Today was only fitting for him to announce his commitment with it being Father's Day as he will be following in his father's footsteps and playing for Georgia.

Bulldogs Offer Texas Receiver
Ty Montgomery is currently verbally committed to Stanford, many Georgia fans probably recall that Justin Scott-Wesley, a current Georgia commit, was also a Stanford commit. Montgomery drove 14 hours from Dallas, Texas to participate in the Georgia camp. This is pretty interesting a committed recruit would go to all that trouble just to participate in a camp. Montgomery came away from the camp with a new view on his commitment. He not backing away from his verbal commit yet but, he is definitely keeping an open mind about everything and really enjoyed his visit to Athens.

James Vaughters the number one rated linebacker in the state of Georgia verbally committed to Stanford today. This comes as no surprise as Vaughters had been trying to decide between Stanford and Ohio State but most people were stating in the past week that he was heading to Stanford.

Charone Peake Headed to Clemson
Mark Richt and the Georgia Bulldogs got some bad news as WR Charone Peake announced his verbal commitment to Clemson. Peake has been a Clemson lean for a sometime now but Georgia had made some significant strides in catching up.

Jarvis Jones Newest Bulldog
Jarvis Jones has been on campus with the coaching staff since Monday and has really liked what he saw. In fact he liked it so much he decided he will be a Bulldog next season. This is according to Carver High School head coach Dell McGee. Jones has been medically cleared by the Bulldog staff. He should be able to play immediately, but we will see. If he can play immediately he should be fighting for a starting position.
Jones was suppose to be arriving on Florida State's campus tomorrow but this will not be necessary now.
