Jarvis Jones Newest Bulldog

Jarvis Jones has been on campus with the coaching staff since Monday and has really liked what he saw. In fact he liked it so much he decided he will be a Bulldog next season. This is according to Carver High School head coach Dell McGee. Jones has been medically cleared by the Bulldog staff. He should be able to play immediately, but we will see. If he can play immediately he should be fighting for a starting position.

Jones was suppose to be arriving on Florida State's campus tomorrow but this will not be necessary now.

According to the AJC, he has to sit out a year. Doesn't matter, he will be a force on defense.

Great news, improves depth at OLB. Plus at USC was a good special teams player. Even if he never plays a down could help in the recruitment of all the big time recruits that we are trying to get out of Carver. Very awesome.

What sucks is, if had intended to stayed until a couple of weeks ago he could have transferred without sitting out.

That's not true LT. The transfer rule about not siiting out a year only applies to Juniors and Seniors. He could petition the NCAA to let him play this year because his transfer was due to USC not medically clearing him to play, however he has stated that he intends to redshirt regrdless.

Anon 9:03 is correct Jones already stated that he is going to red shirt this year.
