Bulldogs Might Have Advantage with Nick Marshall

Nick Marshall is the #7 ranked player in the state of GA according to Rivals.com. Marshall currently is holding scholarships from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Vanderbilt. Marshall is a two sport athlete holding scholarships in basketball to all those schools as well. The Bulldogs were the first team to offer him a football scholarship.

After watching the game film on Marshall most people would see that he has a strong arm with pretty good accuracy. The biggest thing that you will notice is his patience in the pocket and his ability to avoid the rush. Unlike most dual-threat QB's Marhsall does not take off at a full sprint when he is pressured he will either step-up, roll left or roll right just enough to avoid the pressure and complete the pass. This patience is huge when it comes to playing the QB position. The whole time he is moving in the pocket his eyes are always down field.

When it comes to trying to figure where Marshall is leaning nobody can shed any light on the subject. When Scout.com asked him about this he kept  his answers very short:

Scout: Do you have preferences in the schools that have initially offered?
Marshall: No sir. I’m staying wide open.
S: Did you have a childhood favorite growing up?
M: No sir.
S: Do you know what you’re looking for in a school?
M: No sir. Not yet.

The one area where the Bulldogs might have a huge advantage is that Marshall has a cousin that just signed with Georgia, Lonnie Outlaw. Outlaw will be attending Georgia Military College next year to get his grades up before enrolling in Georgia. This could possibly be a blessing in disguise for the Bulldogs as that would mean that Outlaw and Marshall would be enrolling at Georgia together.
